Wednesdays on Whidbey: What One Word Showed Me the Way Out the Door?

Summary

Inspired to continue the journey in challenging times I ask: how do you ADJUST & how can I help you get back on the road again?

Note

My brother Steve possess a remarkable talent for turning adversity into opportunity. He came to mind as I stood in the albergue kitchen, filled with doubt and self-pity on a cold, dark, wet morning along the Camino. Having fallen ill due to the close quarters in 40-bed pilgrim dorms, I also had limited foul weather gear, a meager breakfast of hot water, and a black mood as I contemplated my next move.

Then, a fellow pilgrim walked into the small kitchen wearing a dark tee shirt. In that moment I recalled a favorite quote: “In life, many things will catch your eye, but few will catch your heart; follow those." What caught my heart was the word "ADJUST" in bold white letters on the back of his shirt. This was Steve's way, and it would be mine, too. To hell with fears! I’m heading out!

Question

What inspired you to summon the courage to continue your journey in challenging times? How can I help you get back on the road again?
